well we had markus to the urgent care center on staurday. he was having a bit of difficulty breathing. he has bronchitis and the doctor flushed something out of his ear. not sure what it was but all i know is the doctor said it had been there a long time. now he is more alert , so we are guessing it was blocking his hearing some.

Viola we had the same thing with our son when he was a couple of years old. The night after they had flushed out his ear we went out to eat and they started up a blender in the kitchen and he just started screaming (because he could finally hear).
